A hard-working girl, Katie is dressed in the brown autumn colours, wearing a loosely woven tweed skirt with a contrasting linen pocket large enough to keep necessities. Over her head is a shawl of Celtic Tweed, in a mixture of gold and brown, which covers her shoulders. She carries the cord type bag containing some potatoes (ceramic) across her shoulders for support, into which she picks the potatoes.
