 Katie - The Potato Picker A hard-working girl, Katie is dressed in the brown autumn colours, wearing a loosely woven tweed skirt with a contrasting linen pocket large enough to keep necessities. Over her head is a shawl of Celtic Tweed, in a mixture of gold and brown, which covers her shoulders. She carries the cord type bag containing some potatoes (ceramic) across her shoulders for support, into which she picks the potatoes.  Maeve - Great Queen of Connaught Maeve, true to her name is 12" in height and wears an Aran Sweater handknit by Cait in the Connemara Gaeltacht. She has a good complection from the sea breezes and wears a fisherman type tam on her head under which she can tuck all her hair when the wind blows up.
